Mint To Be | Inspiration

I must prelude this inspiration board with a little back story behind my history with the color Mint Green. I was a dancer, and in the 5th grade we were performing the Nutcracker for our Spring Recital. Our part of the ballet, was the Waltz of the Flower. Well, when I found out that we would be choosing the color we wore with our partner, out of a hat, I knew my bad luck would ultimately win. I was chosen last out of that hat, and forced to wear the fluffiest Mint Green Tutu ever! You can bet that I never stopped talking about how I got stuck wearing the most horrible color in the entire group.
My 5th grade feelings about the color, are quite contrary to what I feel now. Mint Green has been on the rise for some time now, and it is so fresh, so trendy. I really adore the feeling it gives off.
In this inspiration Board, "Mint To Be," I included delicate details of ivory and variations of mint. I imagine this wedding in the summer, at a lovely garden location, full of lush florals and succulents. Here is just a little bit of that vision below! I hope you are inspired! Thanks for stopping by! :]

DIY Bride | Martha Stewart Weddings

Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine, just released their DIY issue this month! So once you are through reading this, you should probably go get your very own copy, if you haven't already! They even have the very first digital version available, for you iPad and Tablet lovers out there!

I flipped through the pages, scouring for the perfect thing to share with you lovelies. One thing that I absolutely adore about Martha is she walks you through thing step-by-step. It doesn't get any better than that, people! You will never leave her website, or close the pages of her magazines without knowing exactly what to do for your project!
MarthaStewartWeddings.com  also has a spectacular feature section of DIY customizable printables for everything from favors, to signs, to table numbers...etc. I chose some of my favorites to showcase here! I hope you take the time to take a look at all the great DIY's though! :]

1. Beach Patterned Fresh Fruit Wraps
I had to share this! It is just such a trendy idea! Plus, how could I pass up sharing that beautiful Florida Orange!? The pdf for these cute wraps, is recommended to be printed on Rice Paper. All of the details for this DIY Project can be found here!

2. The "Kiss Invitation"

I remember coming across this in MS magazine once, not too long ago. I also remember being in love with its quirky style and fun elements. If you feel the same, and want to borrow this idea for even a Shower, or Bachelorette party, it is completely customizable! All of the details can again be found here! Trust me it is really that easy!

3. Motif Program Covers
The very first impression your guests have when they arrive at your ceremony is the program that just got handed to them. It is important that they look good, and do not become an afterthought, if you do decide you are having one. This DIY cover is easy to customize, and it gives options for the emblem you can chose. The last step is printing it on whatever cardstock that suits your wedding's theme! Folding and tying it with some lovely ribbon or twine is all you have left to do and Viola! All of the details can be found here for this DIY project!

4. Mini Barrels of Matches, Favors

his was a Martha Stewart DIY that immediately caught my eye! Matches are still given at weddings, even if they are just at the bar. They are a token that people can almost always find the use for! The labels, and tops for these match barrels are all easily customizable by pattern and initial! It is such a fun way to do the typical matches, and your guests will ADORE them! Just like me! All of the details for this project can be found here! Also, the little barrels can be found at Favors and Flowers!

This was just a preview of four of the many projects! I encourage you to check them out! They are certainly do-able! I have done a couple of them myself, actually, so I speak from a true DIY standpoint!  I hope that you have all enjoyed this little bit of DIY! We want to hear what your favorites are! CHECK OUT THOSE links! :]
Enjoy, lovelies!

Jacob + Lauren are Married!

I can't believe we haven't shared this beauty with you yet! Photos this beautiful need to be shared!    It's been quite a while since Lauren & Jacob tied the knot at a private residence in Edgewater, in fact, they just celebrated their one year anniversary!  In honor of their big milestone, here is a look back at their beautiful celebration.    This wedding goes down in the books as one of our all-time favorites!  It truly had the trifecta of a beautiful location/decor, amazing vendors, and incredibly wonderful family and friends to celebrate!   Enjoy these photos, courtesy of the amazing Mike Richards Photography!   This wedding featured some of my favorite florals EVER from the talented team at Rachael Kasie Designs, as well as the musical stylings of Joe at the D.J. Man.

We so enjoyed getting to know Lauren & Jacob and helping them design the beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.  Enjoy!
