Blushin' Plum & Teal

"Blushin' Plum & Teal"
What better way to start planning your wedding than choosing a refreshing color combo like this one! Right?! With a tripled color effect for a wedding it is best to focus on two colors and use the third as an accent! I love the fact that these colors can be used for a very chic, vintage wedding or they could be used for a more modern, bold look. Enjoy this inspiration board created just for you!

Throw an Absolutely Stellar Holiday Bash!

December is here and we all know what that means...Holiday Parties Galore! The girls of White Blossom love nothing more than a stellar holiday party. We not only love to be in attendance, we love planning and coordinating them as well! So keep us in mind during this busy season! We're going to talk about some key points to making your holiday parties and get togethers a total success! Enjoy!

1. Start of with a super-lovely invitation!
WB Hint: Etsy has really cute options for this!

2. Feature a holiday cocktail or specialty drink!
(Psst...Your boss doesn't have to know!)

3. Have an ornament gift exchange!
WB Hint: Ornaments are easy and fun! It it also much cheaper and easier
to buy for a colleague that you may not know beyond the workplace

4. Decor, Decor, Decor!
The good thing is that a Christmas tree could do the trick!
Candles and extra ornaments are always good way to spruce up the place, as well!

5. Table Setting Beauty!
Guests love personal touches! The table is the perfect
place for creativity in that department!

6. Jingle and Mingle
It's so important to fill the silence. What better way to do so than with
the sounds of the season! I am personally recommending Michael Buble's newest
Christmas Album! It's mellow enough to use as background to a Mingling Murmur.

White Blossom wishes you a Happy Holidays! :]

Jenna + Keith | The Casements | Riverfront Center Ormond Beach

Here at White Blossom, we just love sharing about special days that are spent with very special people! We're playing catch-up and finally posting Jenna and Keith's beautiful Daytona Beach wedding! It was full of nature-inspired elements including lots of burlap, moss, river rock, and driftwood!   When we first met with Jenna & Keith, we knew that we were a perfect match-- we love hands-on projects that can bring a couple's personality to life on their wedding day, and they had a fantastic vision!  For the Gibbs' special day, we collected driftwood and hand-crafted a natural rustic arbor.  We also created personal touches for their reception space, such as natural cypress wood pedestals and an oak slab cake stand.  For decor, we brought in lots of natural Manzanita branches with hanging candles and hydrangea blooms, as well as moss table runners and burlap chair sashes. Mason jars with floating candles and rustic wooden lanterns completed the picture for an elegant and natural celebration!
We loved tackling this project to capture Jenna & Keith's vision for their wedding day!    The ceremony took place at The Casements in Ormond Beach and their reception at the Riverfront Center at St. Demetrios. Also, here are some lovely photos of their big day, compliments of Mark at Mark Dickinson Photography! Have you EVER seen a more BEAUTIFUL couple in your whole life!?   Enjoy!

A big thank you to all of you who helped make Jenna and Keith's wedding special!
The rest of their wedding day photos can be viewed on Mark Dickinson Photography's Blog!

Guestbooks Galore!

Brides, let's be real. If your Guestbook looks like this, then we have a problem! Gone are the days of the tulle & lace covered guestbook from the 80's that you sign only your name in; we have moved on to much greater things in the world! Thank goodness! :]

Wedding guestbooks have become more of a keepsake for couples as opposed to their former role as just dust-collectors in the attic. Also, guestbooks are becoming more of a project. There is more thought going into the ideas behind the guestbook, and what kind of presentation it will have. Nothing makes us happier than to see fresh, new ideas! So I will present you with a few that are fun & creative, but as always I encourage you to think outside the box when it comes to your big day!

(Descriptions below from Top Left, to Bottom Right)

Some of the ideas that we love included above:
1. Signing a wine bottle
2.Wishing Tree, best wishes for the newlyweds
3. Individuals Mini-Envelopes on the book pages
for little notes from the guests
4. Signing a vase
5. Sharing "what love means to you"
6. Guests find & sign on their birthday in a calendar-
GREAT for your first year of marriage!
7. Snap a Picture, paste & sign!
8. The Thumbprint guestbook
9. Sign a wooden bench

These are all great ideas!
Be inspired, and have a wonderful day! Love, WB.

Burlap Bride

We adopted some beautiful burlap table runners this weekend at the wedding we did! It was certainly love at first sight for both Britni and I, not to mention everyone else who laid eyes on them! With that being said, enjoy this Burlap Experience!
One thing you should know about Burlap (that is absolutely awesome) is that you can paint, personalize and even stamp it! Trust me, it makes for a fun & easy DIY project! It is also a very versatile fabric that can go with a variety of themes and designs! You may not have considered burlap before in your planning, but it really is an overlooked gem! ENJOY!

Wedding Guest Etiquette

As a wedding guest it is important to be aware of the etiquette and standards at which you are being held. I'll be giving you a few pointers to ensure you are always the ideal guest, and not that guest that is minutes from getting asked to leave! So get reading, you have a lot to learn! :]

1. Don't be late! If you are attending the ceremony, then it is vital that you give yourself plenty of time to arrive and get settled! This is even more important if you have never been to the location. Interrupting the processional to find a seat is one disaster no bride wants!

2. Leave the photo-taking to the professionals! I know you are just dying to snap a picture of the bride and groom to mobile upload to your Facebook page, but it takes away from the ceremony! I suggest getting those pictures during the reception. It is a much more laid-back, appropriate time for photos!

3. Leave your boyfriend at home! I know you were looking forward to the two of you getting all fancy, but if that invite only says your name, then it means just that. Some couples cut costs by eliminating the "+ Guest" next to their guest's name. Bringing an unexpected guest is really impolite, so stick to that invite!

4. Drink in Moderation! You certainly do not want to be THAT guest that embarrasses themselves in their sloppy drunken state. And the truth is, you'll probably embarrass the bride and groom, as well. It is important to know your limits!

5. The Wedding gift - do's and don'ts! If you received an invite, but are unable to attend, it is still customary that you send a wedding gift. Another question that is often pondered is whether or not you should bring a wedding gift with you when you attend. You certainly can, but that just means someone will have to be in charge of taking it home, when the couple probably will not even get it until after their honeymoon. My advice, if it's not a card, send it to the couple. It makes life so much easier for everyone!

6. RSVP, ASAP. When you get that invitation in the mail, it is so important to RSVP as soon as you can! It is important because lots of times it can impact numbers in terms of favors, place cards, seating and even the count for the caterer.

7. What not to wear! I am no Stacy and Clinton of wedding attire, but I definitely have some advice. Some etiquette books say it is okay to wear white to a wedding, but we say no! It is just going to create more buzz than necessary, so keep that cute, white dress for another occasion! Also, it used to be said that you should not wear black to a wedding. This is a total myth. Wear black, I promise you the bride will not even notice! If the dress is indicated on the invitation, follow it, it's there for a reason!

8. Finally, be respectful. This goes for everything. Be respectful of those around you, the couple's traditions and culture, and the festivities of the day...etc. Let the couple have their moment!

Well, these are just a few tips and pointers, but I hope you learned something about being the ideal guest :] If you haven't already done so, practice these at your next wedding or formal event! Enjoy!

Modern Orange & Gray Color Inspiration

Modern is definitely the first word that comes to mind when pairing any color with gray. For this little bit of inspiration, I paired gray with orange. This is a fun color combo that works lovely for the fall, or any other season for that matter. What I really love about this pair is that it subtlety says "fall" without the leaves and pumpkins! Sometimes subtle is just what you need to make a good impression! Another great asset about this color combo is that you can easily add in an accent color! Below, I added in the yellow-gold, to help you get an idea. Hope you feel inspired, Enjoy!

Color, Color, Color

It is always so interesting to see how couples incorporate their wedding colors into the designs of their special day. When we say the outcome of possibilities is endless, we surely mean it!
The Wedding Industry is constantly changing and introducing new, upcoming trends. One of the trends over the past couple of years has been introducing color! I'm not saying your mother or grandmother did not have a color palette for their day, I'm saying we are bringing color to weddings in a whole new way! And it is so exciting!

Colored Crinolines
Believe it or not, you can do this at home! (With any shade of Rit dye)
So, what do we love about this trend? It's daring. It says a lot about the bride's personality, it makes a statement, and of coarse, it is versatile. Colored crinolines can be used under the wedding gown, bridesmaids, flower girls, or even under a fun reception dress...etc.

Colored Belts/Accessories
Say goodbye to the boring silver and gold, and hello, to the lovely colors!

Etsy.com is the best place to find some of the most colorful, unique bridal belts and sashes. Khloe Kardashian was even wearing color on her wedding gown in a sash!
Again, if you want to do a more traditional look for the ceremony, you can still do a fun, colorful accessory for the party!

OMG, shoes! (& socks!)

Detailed shots taken by your photographer typically capture the little details that not all of your guests are attuned to, like shoes!
Your Groom and his Groomsmen can coordinate their socks to match the wedding colors! This is a fun trend, that always makes for perfect pictures!
Chances are if you go for a bold, colorful shoe for your wedding day, people won't forget.
It sure beats having a pair of drab ivory heels in your closet that you'll probably never think twice about wearing again.

These are certainly not all you can do in the incorporation of color in your wedding, but hopefully this colorful inspiration
will help get your wheels turning!
Last but not least, don't afraid to be bold; it's supposed to be the best day of your life, you want others to remember it too!

All about the...GROOM!

It's no secret that the wedding day revolves around the Bride and Groom. As a guest, you may talk about the bride's dress, her hair, make-up, bouquet...etc. However, sometimes we are so focused on the Bride that we forget to notice how dapper the Groom looks, as well.

One thing that will make your Groom stand out, and let the guests notice just how spiffy he is, wearing a unique bow tie!

Forage Bow ties are my personal favorite! With a variety of colors and styles, you will never fail to find the perfect one! Each one is hand-crafted, self-tying and adjustable! What's better than that!? Here is just a preview of their amazing selection! Check them out with the link above,
you won't be disappointed!
